About me
I am currently a junior majoring in health services management. I chose my major because I have always been passionate about working in the health care field and making health care more accessible to people in marginalized communities. I have personally experienced barriers with health care, and I want to use my experience to make health care better for others. Some of my hobbies include reading, hanging out with family and friends, and self-care activities.
Why I chose IUPUI
I chose IUPUI because it is the best choice financially. It is also only 15 minutes from my house, so the commute is not bad.
My first college work experience
My first on-campus college work experience was through the Life–Health Sciences Internship (LHSI) program with Dr. Comer. I loved getting to know more about the research field and the behind-the-scenes experience of research in general. I will always be grateful for not only Dr.Comer and the research team but also to the LHSI program for giving me this great experience.
