About me

I am a senior in the School of Health and Human Sciences. I love being able to work with students and other faculty around the university. Additionally, I am involved with OTEAM as a summer orientation leader and a first-year seminar mentor. Some of my other passions include learning about the different animals that surround us, as well as reading. A fun fact about me is that I have a hedgehog named Simon!

My first college work experience

My first college work experience was with OTEAM as a first-year seminar mentor. I loved the idea of being able to share my experiences and knowledge to new incoming students and building connections with them. This position really forced me out of my box and gave me the opportunity to grow as a person and as a leader. It was one of the reasons why I realized that working in higher education was something that I wanted to do for the rest of my life.

Why I chose IUPUI

I chose IUPUI because it offered a lot of diversity, which is something that I value. I was also really interested in health care, and because IUPUI is surrounded by hospitals and different health care facilities, it would give me the opportunity to explore my options and to grow. I also love the inclusivity of the campus!
