Supervisor Training and Programs

Overview of Programs and Trainings

Hire Achievers and On-Campus Internships

The Hire Achievers program is a campuswide initiative to assist departments that are new to hiring student employees, creating new part-time positions and on-campus internships, or increasing their student employee numbers. This program offers up to a 50% match in funding these positions. Our goal is to assist supervisors in strengthening the experiences of student employees in on-campus positions and to enhance their preparation for professional work by connecting student employment to the IUPUI Principles of Undergraduate Learning (PULs).

Jaguar Supervisor Training

Supervisors of student employees encounter unique challenges and opportunities to support students as employees and employees as students. They must also learn how to promote work, life, and school balance for their student employees. The JAGUAR Supervisor Training Program focuses on creating a balance between those roles and on guiding supervisors to confidently and competently create a meaningful work experience for IUPUI students.
